There are many ways to become involved with the activities at Long Branch Plantation. Paid, volunteer, and intern positions all contribute to the successful operation of our historic site.

2015 Internships
The Long Branch Plantation Internship Program provides interns with the opportunity to complete multiple projects with constant hands-on opportunities and experiences.  As an intern, you will have the opportunity to create original work and to see it used by the public.

Interns will have the opportunity to complete projects in the following areas:

Historic Preservation
Digital History
Social Media
Archival Research
Marketing/Community Outreach
Historic Interpretation & Programming
Content Creation: Exhibits, Brochures, & Web
Event planning

Volunteer opportunities are abundant at Long Branch Plantation. Whether it is assisting visitors around the house, working in the gardens, participating in one of our special events, or providing useful assistance in our office, Long Branch could not operate without its volunteers. If you have interest in becoming a volunteer at our site, please send an email to info@visitlongbranch.org with “Volunteer” in the subject line or call 540-837-1856 for more details.
