Long Branch Speaker Series – “The Food We Eat — and Shouldn’t Eat” with Sandy Lerner

Cisco Systems co-founder Sandy Lerner is owner of Ayrshire Farms in Upperville, devoted to area growers, sustainable farming, and organic products. One reason why, among many: The average food item in the U.S. travels 1,300 miles by land, sea, and air to reach our tables. Food shouldn’t have to work that hard to get to us, or be so tired when it arrives. Sandy will show us how eating locally is good for us and the planet.
All talks begin at 6 pm and last approximately one hour, including time for questions and comments from the audience. Attendees will have a chance to socialize beforehand over drinks and light hors d’oeuvres, beginning at 5:30.
Ticket prices: $25.
Seating is limited, and priority will go to series-ticket holders.
